Why me? Besides being an author of award-winning picture books, I’ve been associated with children’s literature for over 15 years as a picture books blogger, an early literacy educator, and as an active member of multiple critique groups. I continue to work with an editorial agent, fabulous editors, and published and pre-published writers in my journey.

How to get feedback on your picture book manuscript

[Fiction: max 800 words || Non-fiction: max 1200 words]

General : A written critique of your full manuscript that will include:

• overall feedback including comments on elements like hook, voice, character arc, plot, ending, story arc & structure and language (vocabulary, dialogue tags, grammar & punctuation)
• word & line edits
• revision notes
• comments on theme, takeaway, marketing potential, comp titles (if applicable)
  Cost: $120
  Time: 2-3 weeks

Revise & Resubmit

• A full written critique of revised manuscript on edited elements
  Cost: $75
  Time: 1-2 weeks

Add-ons:

• Submit a query letter with your manuscript and get feedback. Cost: $50
• 30 min phone consultation with your written critique for an additional $100
